Anchers Hus (Ancher's House)

The most famous couple in Danish art is Michael and Anna Ancher. To this day, their home still stands beautifully preserved and exactly as it was, when Anna Ancher died in 1935. Their daughter, Helga Ancher, wanted to preserve the home as it was, when her parents were alive, so she created a foundation with exactly that purpose. The home opened as a museum in 1967 – three years after Helga Ancher’s death.
