Det Gamle Værft ( The Old Shipyard)

Det Gamle Værft is a tribute to maritime cultural heritage and Danish craftmanship.

The exhibition spreads across the two buildings “Den Blå Hal” and “Værftshallen” as well as the harbour. 

Here, exhibitions and experiences come together as it is possible to explore exhibitions on the archipelago, working workshops, the history of ship building, machines and various projects.

The curious can try their hand at forging the red-hot iron in the forge, make their own rope, become a coppersmith and make their own bracelet, have a closer look at some of the fish living in the archipelago and much more.
