Grenen

Grenen is Denmark’s most northern point and one of the country’s most popular excursion spots. Here, the two seas Skagerrak and Kattegat meet, and it is quite a special experience to have one foot in each sea. 

Because of the strong currents, bathing is strictly prohibited. Instead you can enjoy the rich bird and animal life at Grenen. It is one of the places in Denmark with the most bird species and you might also see seals sunbathing on the beach.

The walk to Grenen is a little long and if you do not feel like a long walk, you can take Sandormen – a tractor bus that during summer season goes from Grenen’s parking lot to the tip.
