The Infinite Bridge

The Infinite Bridge is located by the coast on the outskirts of Aarhus. The round bridge provides a lovely panoramic view where you can see the city, the forest and the bay.

The Infinite Bridge’s location by the Varna mansion is not random. From 1897 up until World War II steamships sailed from the city along the coast towards Riis Forest and the Marselisborg Forests. These routes connected the city, the bay and the characteristic forest landscapes along the coast. It is this connection that The Infinite Bridge is trying to re-establish.

The bridge was originally a part of a temporary exhibition called Sculpture by the Sea, but it has since become a permanent part of Varna Beach. It is out from May until October and is then put away for the winter.
