Djurs Sommerland

Djurs Sommerland is a magical place for both children and adults. The park has been elected the best amusement park in Northern Europe several times and with more than 60 different rides there is something for everyone. The park is divided into 8 themes - among other things you can visit the Wild West, meet the pirates in Pirate Land and try the big Viking ship in Viking Land. 

If you like speed and adrenalin, the park offers several heart-stopping possibilities. For example, you can try Dragekongen (The Dragon King) – Europe’s fastest and longest Family Suspended Coaster where you speed along with your legs dangling freely in the air. Or you can try Juvelen (The Jewel) - Denmark’s longest rollercoaster which shoots you around the track at up to 85 km/h. 

If you want something calmer, a ride in Bananbådene (The Banana Boats) in Africa Land might be just the thing. Or you could ride a pedal boat in Viking Land or take a closer look at the park from the park train. There are also plenty of playgrounds where the children can burn off some energy while the adults take a break.

If you need to be cooled down, the large water park is just the place to visit. Here, you’ll find waterslides for both smaller children and fun-loving adults, a wave pool and a water playground. If you prefer sun to water, you can enjoy some rays on the many sunbeds. 

There are plenty of possibilities for satisfying your hunger at the many restaurants in the park. If you prefer to bring your own food, you can enjoy it at the tables and benches you’ll find throughout the park. It is also possible to use the park’s large barbeque area where the staff makes sure the barbeques are lit and ready.
