Explore Hans Christian Andersen's life and experience the world-knowns authors parental home. The iconic yellow-washed corner house was in the beginning of the 19th century located in the quarter belonging to the lowest class of society and it is here, where H.C. Andersen grew up. The house has since 1908 been a part of the museum, where the exhibitions are divided up into different topics and there are experiences for young as well as older guests. The poet's life is shown with the help of drawings and poems, a reconstruction of his apartment in Nyhavn in Copenhagen, pictures, personal items and more.

Even though the museum is closed for renovation, it is still possible to visit H.C.Andersens parental home in the small yellow house.
