Knudmosen

Not far away from the city centre of Herning, there is a beautiful nature area, in which the hill Knudmosen is located. The nature is beautiful and there are a lot of activities for the whole family.

Knudmosens two areas

The area around Knudmosen is divided into two parts - east and west, both with their own activities. The western side of the hill Knudmosen is used for allotment gardens and leisure activities, whereas the eastern side is inviting to enjoy the time in nature. There are 8 different trails, which lead through the beautiful nature and pass clearings. Furthermore, there is a bridle path and a wheelchair friendly path. In the whole area it is tried to preserve and protect the nature, that the area is known for - e.g. birch trees.

Knudmosens animal life

The swamp in the area is attracting a lot of different animals. Especially birds, such as the common whitethroat, black-headed gull, whinchat and others. One can also be lucky to spot deer, otters, bunnies or foxes.

Knudmosens dog area

Close to Knudmosen is there a beautiful area for dogs, which consists of 4 hectares of grass and forest area. The area is compound, which gives the possibility to let one's dog off the leash as long as they are not disturbing the other visitors. The area gives the opportunity to enjoy the nature together with one's four-legged friends.
