Visit the Mini-masons’ workshop

The mini-mason workshop is located close to the miniature town on Lundvej 4A.

Every morning the mini masons meet at the workshop. The workshop is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 - 12 during the season. 

Here, the small 22.8 mm x 10.8 mm x 5.4 mm bricks are prepared for burning, and creative solutions are devised for the small houses in the miniature town. Fortunately, we have several retired masons among the voluntary mini masons who also count retirees with historical and other craft interests. There are particular challenges when you are a mini mason, as there are no standard solutions.

All the mini masons are passionate about drawing, building, constructing and experimenting with the right detailed solutions for the new mini-houses for Varde Miniby. It takes deft, peculiarities and good imagination to produce the small bricks and the important details that make the experience in the mini-village something special.

The mini masons like to share their great craftsmanship with everything from bricks to door frames in miniature versions. It gives a special experience and knowledge to visit the workshop before descending into the Miniby, which is just 300 meters from the workshop.
