Schouw Digital Piano House

At Schouw Digital Piano House, traditional, older grand pianos get new life. Here, grand pianos are restored, modernized and digitized, while preserving their original charm and soul whilst creating a better, more excellent sound.

Fundamentally, the concept is removal of iron frame, strings, keyboard and mechanics in the grand piano. Thereby the soundboard and design are retained and form the setting of the digital sound. Hereby it is possible to regulate the sound levels and create harmonic effects between the treble, midrange and bass - while simultaneously the sound is "turned" out of the original soundboard of the grand piano. This creates a beautiful and romantic sound every time!

The pianist Henrik Schouw, who is now giving new life to all sorts of grand pianos, founded the place and concept.
