The Oluf Høst Museum
Do you want to experience how it was to be an artist on Bornholm hundred years ago?
Then stop at the Oluf Høst Museum in Gudhjem that has been established in the old beautiful villa of Hedvig and Oluf Høst. The big collection of paintings are thus hanging in the surroundings where they where made. This creates a very special atmoshere and adds to the experience.
The rocky garden facing the "mountain of Gudhjem" known as “Bokul” is also part of the museum. In the garden you'll find Oluf Høst's two ateliers, or painter houses as he called them.
After visiting the museum a walk up to the "Bokulmountain" is recommended. From here the view over Gudhjem and the North Sea is splendid.
