Fiskeriets Hus

Fiskeriets Hus is a contemporary museum for the area, the harbour and Hvide Sande. Among other things Fiskeriets Hus tells the story of how Hvide Sande was created and the development of the fishing industry.

Fiskeriets Hus was built in 1992. The outside is made by wood like the old red tool sheds that were once so typical in Hvide Sande. To the south there is a large glass façade ensuring that the view of Ringkøbing Fjord can be enjoyed to the fullest. The museum has both freshwater and saltwater aquariums as well as a petting pool.
