Frøslevs Prison Camp Museum (Frøslevlejrens Museum)

Frøslevs Prison Camp (Frøslevlejren) was built as a German prison camp in 1944 under the German occupation of Denmark and is nowadays one of the best preserved German prison camps. Several thousand Danes were kept imprisoned here in the years 1944 and 1945 and approximately 1600 of those were sent on to German concentration camps even though the camp was built to avoid the deportation of Danes.

Frøslev Prison Camp Museum mostly deals with the period under which it was used by the Germans, but one can also visit the newer exhibitions about Faarhus Camp and traitors to the nation. Attached to the museum there is a small shop that sells books and movies about the history of Frøslev Prison Camp.
