Gammel Estrup - Herregårdsmuseet

Gammel Estrup is one of Denmarks best preserved renaissance manor house and functions as museum of manor houses with different activities and events. Experience the permanent exhibitions about the life of the masters and mistresses and their servants across 400 years and the museum different special exhibitions.

The museum has existed since 1930 and engages with all aspects of manor houses; among others architecture, landscape, culture, history, agriculture and economy within both a national but also international perspective. The goal of the museum is to do research on a high academic level and the Danish Centre for Manor House Research is located in this manor house.

Inside the park, there is a baroque garden with several orangeries and a playground for children.
