Hans Christian Andersens childhood home
From the age of 2 until 14, Hans Christian Andersen lived in one of the apartments in the small yellow house located on Munkemøllestræde in Odense. Today there is a museum in two of the rooms, from which originally only one covered the childhood of H.C. Andersen.
The little museum in the childhood home, which opened in 1930, provides an insight into the childhood and childhood memories of the poet and how he already in his young ages was inspired for his poems. The exhibition is set up like H.C. Andersen describes the apartment in his autobiography.
