HEART Herning Museum of Contemporary Art

HEART Herning Museum of Contemporary Art reopened in September 2009 in a new building designed by the American architect Steven Holl. Previous, the museum was called "Herning Kunstmuseum" and was located in an old shirt-factory. HEART exhibition concept is to be an internationally respected and locally appreciated museum, which exhibits, communicates and reserves contemporary art. With the starting point in the unique history of the museum as well as the collections, the focus is on presenting art from the latest century. The museum has 3 to 4 special exhibitions, which belong to one of the three exhibition categories, that the museum included in their strategy: HEARThistory, HEARTfuture and HEARTdesign.

The museums café invites to small meals and sweets as well as hot and cold drinks.
