Ternedal Bird-decoy
Back in 1888, Ternedal Bird-decoy on Fanø was established. It was originally built as a private limited company with 25 shareholders. The appearance of this bird-decoy eye differs from the other bird-decoys on Fanø, because it is rhomboid and not hexagonal like the others. This bird-decoy is different, because another technique was used to capture the birds mainly by using a net. With this method, it was possible to capture up to 300 birds in a single catch, and the method was therefore extremely effective. However, it had its shortcomings, and the experiments eventually became too expensive, which is why the idea was abandoned.
